This year we saw some new and some ongoing anime being released but now summer has arrived and anime viewers and fans are waiting to know which anime they will get to watch this summer. Below we have given some anime list which we are going to watch this summer. The interesting thing is that this summer we are going to watch ongoing anime instead of new anime. Some of these anime are going to be such which anime fans were waiting for a long time. Earlier this summer, we got to see Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye. This was the movie of the Dan Da Dan series which we got to see on June 6, 2025. For those who have not seen this series, let me tell you that it is an anime full of action, adventure, comedy, romance, and science-fiction, thriller which you will enjoy after watching. Talking about the story of Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye, Momo and Okarun investigate a mysterious hot springs town where Jiji's family is plagued by supernatural activity. Their investigation reveals an evil spirit called the Evil Eye, which is linked to the town's history of volcanoes and child sacrifice. This anime is based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, written by Hiroshi Seko and produced by Science SARU.

In the middle of this summer, we are going to see Dan Da Dan Season 2, which will be released on July 3, 2025. It will adapt chapters 33 to 73 of the manga, focusing on the "Cursed House" and "Evil Eye" arcs. Its story will continue from the Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye movie. In this, we are going to see the vengeful spirit, the revelation of the backstory of the Evil Eye and the mystery surrounding a hot springs town.

This summer we are going to see Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4, whose release date is said to be July 5, 2025. This is going to be the longest season of Rent-a-Girlfriend. In this season, we will get to see a total of 24 episodes which are going to be based on the Hawaiian arc. Those who have read its manga will already know what we are going to see in this season. This season will continue the series of Season 3. The anime producer of "Rent-a-Girlfriend" Season 4 is (Yuya) Kumagai. Although there are many producers of this series, Kumagai's name is specifically taken as the producer of the upcoming fourth season.

This summer, a new anime is going to be seen, named The Summer Hikaru Died. This anime is based on a Japanese manga written by Mokumokuren. This manga was published by Kadokawa Shoten in August 2021. There are a total of six volumes of this manga series, which includes 12 episodes in all volumes. This manga is being adapted into animation by CygamesPictures Studio. CygamesPictures Studio has made short films like Blade Runner Black Out, through which we can guess what kind of animation is going to be found. 

The story of The Summer Hikaru Died is Yoshiki and Hikaru, two teenage boys living in a small town in the countryside of Japan. We get to see a deep friendship between them. Hikaru is fatally injured during a long journey alone on a winter day. Before Hikaru dies, a ghost appears in front of him, which eats him. After eating Hikaru, the ghost takes his form, and this new "Hikaru" has all the emotions and memories of the original. However, Yoshiki quickly realizes that this Hikaru is not his friend, but Yoshiki still wants to be friends with him.

This July we are going to see Dr. Stone Science Future part 2, whose release date is going to be July 10, 2025. This is the fourth and final season of Dr. Stone Science Future which will continue the story after the arrival of Science Kingdom in America. Those who have not seen its previous seasons must watch the previous seasons before watching this one. This season is going to be based on New World Arc which is written by Riichiro Inagaki. In Dr. Stone Science Future part 2, we are going to see a total of 12 episodes which are being produced by TMS Entertainment Studio.

We recently got to see Sakamoto Days part 1, whose amazing animation, story and action gained popularity all over the world. In view of this, Sakamoto Days part 2 by TMS Entertainment Studio is premiering on Netflix on July 14, 2025. Part 2 will continue the story of Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman who is now living a peaceful life as the owner of a convenience store. We are going to see more action in the new part. It has a more intense focus on war and action, with Sakamoto and his team facing more dangers. We will also get to see 11 episodes in Sakamoto Days part 2.

This summer we are going to see the Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory/Premature Death movie which anime fans were eagerly waiting for. This Jujutsu Kaisen movie will be released in theaters worldwide on July 17, 2025, which we will also be able to watch on online streaming platforms like Crunchyroll. This movie is part of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 which compiles the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" arc. This movie focuses on the time of Gojo and Geto which is a prequel to the main story, which is set a decade earlier. In this movie we will see Gojo and Geto protecting Riko Amanai who is named as the Star Plasma Vessel.

Kaiju No. 8 season 2 is going to be seen later this summer, with a release date of July 19, 2025. Kaiju No. 8 season 2 will include the Kaiju Weapon Arc and Compatible User Arc, which will continue the story from season 1. This season we will see the transformation of Kafka Hibino and the emergence of Kaiju No. 9. A special episode called "Hoshina Day Off" will be released on July 5, 2025 before the start of the new season in Japanese theaters. Kaiju No. 8 season 2 will also be available on Crunchyroll, which is a streaming platform.
